I love raving about the Annenberg Space for Photography. I love that they feature talented photographers and offer Thursday evening lectures. These photographers talk about the craft of their work, how they got there and stories about their photo transformation.
Their latest exhibition features Beauty/Culture. It conjures up social discussion about how beauty is defined. Is it inner or outer beauty? Does it come in all size and form? It takes a real good look how women perceive beauty in their own lives and what is fed to them by their culture. You’ll see images ranging from a 4-year-old pageant contestant to women who have undergone a mastectomy due to breast cancer.
