11,503 ft.

Over the weekend my friend (who’s training to do Mount Whitney) invited us to join her on a hiking training session to San Gorgonio Mountain. San Gorgonio is the highest peak of Southern California reaching 11,503 feet. The mission was to hike and camp so with our gear in tow we reached High Creek camp grounds by Saturday afternoon. We even got a chance to marvel at the Perseid Meteor shower around midnight. On Sunday we hiked up to the summit by 9 am. It was craze cold at the summit but it was also insanely awesome.  I’m a bit sore but still on an high, on to the next challenge!
